"Olsson's is pleased to present one of the greatest writers of our time, Indonesian author Pramoedya, in his first visit ever to the United States. Traveling with his wife, his long-time editor, and a translator, he will talk about his new memoir, The Mute's Soliloquy, a collectiom of his survival writings from prison, and his first work of non-fiction to be published abroad, and his celebrated epic novel, The Buru Quartet, now in four volumes from Penguin Paperback.
"The evening starts with a 27-minute subtitled video of Pramoedya's life and work, followed by a discussion, and booksigning."
