I like to hike a lot when I am on vacation. Any vacation. Just ask anyone who has traveled with me
Day Job North is a particularly good place for this, since it is surrounded by beautiful places to hike. You can even walk right out the back door.
It is kind of perverse for me to like to hike this much, as an old photography injury has left me a pokey walker, with a knee that gives out at the slightest twist in the rocks.
Even more perverse is the fact that I always try to take lots of people with me. That may not seem perverse until you realize that they almost all walk faster than I do, and the ones that don't would rather be shopping, or something.
So as you look at these pictures, you should be hearing voices in your
head saying things like "Where's the shopping mall?" and "Trees, rocks,
rocks, trees..." or just "what would the neighbors
think?"
