RadixNet is pleased to again offer DSL high-speed Internet access. Service is currently available in the Washington DC metro area LATA 236 (that's Verizon talk for metro DC and suburbs in northern Virginia and Maryland as well as 301 area codes in southern Maryland) for Verizon local telephone service subscribers.

The Detailed Description:

A. WHAT IT IS. DSL high speed Internet access. With download speed of 768Kbps and upload speed of 128Kbps, RadixDSL is ideal for the home and/or small office user.

B. WHAT IT COSTS. Only $59 per month gets you always on, high speed Internet access. The one-time $120 setup charge includes a modem and a line filter (more about this below).

C. WHAT YOU GET. Here's what's included in the above monthly and setup charges: 768K/128K always on Internet access, DSL modem, line filter, 10MB Web server disk space, five (5) Email boxes, one (1) static IP address.

D. HOW IT WORKS.

1. Bandwidth: 768Kbps download to your computer, 128Kbps upload (outbound). Verizon provides the actual DSL circuit, RadixNet does ALL the rest. Since RadixDSL runs over your existing phone line, you get only one (1) bill for your DSL Internet access.

2. Always on: With RadixDSL you'll encounter NO timeouts requiring reconnection to the DSL network! Not the case with all other providers.

3. Line sharing: RadixDSL now utilizes line-sharing technology. The service is available for existing in-service Verizon copper phone lines in the DC LATA and allows you to use one phone line for voice calls and DSL connection simultaneously. A line filter (mentioned above) is required for any telephone on that same line, this allows the different DSL and voice frequencies to travel on the same copper pair without interfering each other.

4. Disk space: RadixNet will provide you with a 10MB online storage allotment. Host a web site on our servers!

5. Static IP: Enables you to have a permanent routable Internet address, required for hosting your own Web site for example. Many other DSL services do not provide static IP addressing, we do!

6. Email boxes: Five (5) email boxes are included. One for each of your co-workers or family members.

7. System requirements: Basically, all you'll need on your computer is a 10BaseT Ethernet port with TCP/IP support. There is NO requirement that you run PPP/OE software (as with other providers) so you can connect virtually any computer using virtually any operating system to RadixDSL.

E. HOW TO GET IT. Please give RadixNet a call at 301-567-9831 or 800-309-5254 and we'll be happy to pre-qualify your phone line to see if RadixDSL is available. For this initial step, all we need is the phone number for the line on which you want to install DSL. Once we have determined your phone line is DSL-capable we can place the order for your DSL circuit. At the present time we're seeing circuits installed 5-10 business days after orders are placed. Since RadixDSL runs over existing phone lines, no new installs (and hopefully no lengthy waits!) are necessary. Please select either an MS Word or a text order form.

F. EXTRAS. Additional Email boxes are available for $5/each/month, $10/each setup. Additional DSL Line filters $20 each. Additional address block of eight (8) IP addresses are $10/block/month, $ 20/block setup. RadixNet can also submit and set up your own unique Domain name (annual registration not included) for a one-time $100 setup charge.
