SLIP/PPP-24 ENTERPRISE ACCESS
For Enterprise-wide connectivity (i.e. LAN) connectivity, RadixNet offers the SLIP/PPP-24 Enterprise access account. In addition to having all the features of basic SLIP-24 (above), the Enterprise Account also includes/supports a full Class "C" address block, routing, mail and DNS services.

DEDICATED T1 ACCESS
Higher-bandwidth, point-to-point (also called leased-line) circuits providing enterprise-wide access. The customer is responsible for the T1/1.544Mbps 'local loop' and the equipment required (we can assist with these orders). RadixNet provides the corresponding T1 dedicated access to the Internet backbone.

ISDN DEDICATED ACCESS
ISDN connectivity can provide up to 128Kbps bandwidth. The local loop part of Dedicated ISDN Access is an ISDN 'BRI' circuit installed at the customer location. Each BRI consists of (2) 'B' channels of 64Kbps each and one 'D' channel used as a control channel. Customer is also responsible for obtaining the necessary ISDN terminal adapter (modem). There are currently two ways in which the customer ISDN BRI can be provisioned; with the first you will incur usage charges, the second replaces usage charges with a fixed monthly mileage charge. Dedicated ISDN Access is available at present only for those in "metro" DC/MD/VA telephone exchange areas and/or those who can dial locally to the Oxon Hill, MD exchanges (i.e. some areas in southern MD that may not be metro DC exchanges). FRAME RELAY ACCESS
RadixNet Frame Relay Dedicated Access affords what some customers have found to be a more flexible and economical alternative to the often more costly point-to-point dedicated circuit. Each customer frame relay circuit (your local loop as described previously) consists of two parts; your connection to the frame relay 'cloud' or shared network, and your CIR (Committed Information Rate). The flexibility of frame relay is in the CIR - you can select the guaranteed data rate that will best fit your requirements. For example, you can purchase a T1 Frame Relay 'pipe' (connection to the frame network), but select a 128K CIR if that is sufficient for your current needs. The maximum CIR supported on a T1 frame connection is 50%, or 768Kbps, of the T1 speed of 1.54Mbps. The reason only 50% of the total T1 can be guaranteed is that 'the Frame' is a shared network. Increasing your CIR, and your throughput, is simply a phone call away!

Once the customer has established connectivity to 'the Frame', we'll tell Verizon each of our circuit IDs (RadixNet already has frame connectivity) and a PVC (Permanent Virtual Circuit) between us is established, completing the customer-RadixNet connection. This completes the local loop portion of the access equation. RadixNet will then provide backbone Internet connectivity at a rate corresponding to your CIR.
