Dialup Access Services
RadixNet provides a variety of dialup services. Whether you're looking for a basic Internet connection for Email and Web surfing, somewhere to host your own Web site, additional Email accounts or even a Shell account for telnet access, RadixNet has a Dialup Internet Access Account option for you!

Signing up with RadixNet and getting online is simple. You can register your account information via fax or phone, and our support team is available to answer any questions or assist with any setup/configuration issues you might have. We're currently available from 8AM until 8PM Monday through Friday to serve you!

To fax (or mail) your order, simply download our signup form, print it, complete and fax to RadixNet at 301-839-0836. Our mailing address is RadixNet, 6230 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD, 20745. We'll have your account activated and you'll be online within three (3) business days of receipt. Remember that you can also open your account over the telephone by calling RadixNet at 301-567-9831 (metro DC) or 800-309-5254. Please note that full payment must be received before accounts are activated.

    Dialup Service Descriptions
    SLIP/PPP BASIC ACCOUNT
    RadixNet's basic, full-featured dialup Internet access account. By far our most popular as well! SLIP/PPP BASIC allows you to connect directly to the Internet with your modem. All popular Internet interface applications are supported for Windows-based PCs, UNIX workstations, and Apple/Macintosh computers as well. With SLIP/PPP BASIC, you will have your own unique Email address (for example: yourname@radix.net) from which you can send and receive email. In addition, you will also be able to access the World Wide Web, transfer files, and make use of all the other features the Internet has to offer.

    SLIP/PPP + WEB Account
    RadixNet's 'entry-level' Internet Access Account for those clients who would like to get their feet wet and establish a presence on the World Wide Web. With SLIP/PPP + WEB, RadixNet will host your Web site on one of our robust Sparc-based Web Server systems. While these accounts do not support your own Domain Name, you will still have a unique URL (for example: www.radix.net/~yourname) and your Web site will be viewable by all. SLIP/PPP + WEB customers have secure access to their Web sites via 'ftp' so that any needed changes can be made. RadixNet provides 10MB of disk space for each SLIP/PPP + WEB Account, as well as the first 200MB of throughput at no additonal charge.

    SLIP/PPP + FULL SHELL ACCOUNT
    RadixNet still offers a Full Shell text-based Internet Access Account, unlike most of our competitors. SLIP/PPP + FULL SHELL supports those users that prefer to be presented with a Unix Shell command prompt (and you know who you are!). This text-based interface is combined with the full-featured SLIP/PPP BASIC account described above.

    FULL SHELL ACCOUNT
    RadixNet still offers a Full Shell text-based Internet Access Account, unlike most of our competitors. FULL SHELL supports those users that prefer to be presented with a Unix Shell command prompt. You'll find a complete set of utilities installed (pine, elm, trn, tin, lynx, ubzip, gunzip, bash, tcsh, gcc, emacs, joe, pico, vi, etc.). FULL SHELL accounts also include a 10MB storage quota.

    DIALUP ISDN ACCESS
    RadixNet supports dialup ISDN access for paid-up owners of any of the above-listed Dialup Access Accounts. Both single 'B' channel (64Kbps) and '2B' channel (128Kbps) access speeds are available. Dialup ISDN access is available in limited areas (primarily metro DC/MD/VA telephone exchanges local to our Oxon Hill location - also a metro DC number. A static IP address is available at an affordable recurring charge. Please call our support line to find out if Dialup ISDN can work for you!

    Note that all prices above are IN ADDITION to your baseline RadixNet Dialup Internet Access Account. Customer is responsible for establishing ISDN service at their location and for obtaining the necessary hardware (an ISDN terminal adapter) - but we're glad to help with recommendations!
