Robert Grumbine: Science FAQs, Books, Weather and Science Links

The first part of the page is some FAQs, largely relating to climate, but also including books and schools. Second is information relating to various interests of mine, mostly items of amateur participation -- running, astronomy, biology (in terms of identifying animals), and history (for which I take a long view.)

Feel free to link to the site (I'd prefer a link to the closest index page rather than the article itself -- I'm liable to change file names and organization, but the index pages should remain where they are.)

Link lists

With the development of search engines, I'd have thought that lists of links had ceased to be useful, so hadn't done any updating of my lists for ages. In early 2007, though, I started looking through my old lists, and discovered that quite a few of the links that I had were still valid, but often would not show up if I did a search for them. This still puzzles me some, but rather than debate the search engine algorithms and their thoroughness, I'm resurrecting my link lists and updating them. Where they are listed as 'disappeared', you very likely can still retrieve them by going through, for instance, the Internet Wayback machine. If know where a 'disappeared' site went to, please do let me know the new location.
