6/16/98 - Question #1:  Some of your units reference ZLIB, how do I compile that?

Answer:  ZLIB came with Delphi 3.0 professional, located in the "extras" directory on the CD.  For ease of use, you can download the compiled DCU file here.  Note that this unit was compiled under Delphi 3.02 (Professional), and may not work under other versions of Delphi.

6/16/98 - Question #2:  Which files in Ben's Delphi Library should be installed as components?

Answer:  Install the following .PAS files as components:  AppendNavigator, BenTable, DDList, Delphi_Power, FormSettings, MruMenu, Trayicon, Verslab.

11/18/98 - Question #3:  I am having trouble compiling your application under Delphi 3.02 or Delphi 2, what should I do?

Answer:  I have moved to Delphi 4.02, so most of my components should work with that.  Some things to look for in conversion:  

• the new Delphi 4.02 Forms have extra properties, you can just ignore these properties usually when compiling for earlier versions
• TImageList has moved to the ImgList unit
• The introduction of true 32-bit unsigned integers can cause a type mismatch error in certain sections of code.  Just convert INT's to DWORD's, etc.
• TFormDesigner (from Delphi 3) has been changed to IFormDesigner in Delphi 4.
