I'm in my first year at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), after finishing Langley High School in McLean, Virginia. I plan to mix my study of art with computer applications, to prepare for a career in the computer graphics industry, hopefully working somewhere like Lucasfilm or Pixar (Toy Story was great!). Currently, I'm trying to decide between the Illustration and the Film/Animation/Video majors.
I've always been interested in computers -- my father has always had plenty around the house -- and I still enjoy video games. My early efforts to scribble Star Wars characters have led ever deeper into art, and I was finally convinced that this is the career for me. I've accumulated a decent portfolio, though I'm still constantly improving, and I've had my paintings and drawings in a number of exhibitions last year.
By the way, if you know of an internship which would match my interests and abilities (art, computer graphics, Net-wise, etc.), send me a message.
Aside from my core talents, I'm into snowboarding and punk/hardcore/indie rock music. My friends and I used to follow the local garage bands, and I have sometimes thunked a keyboard in a no-name band. A click on Internet Underground Music Archive should get you to a few bands that fall into those categories.

My father is offering me a little gallery space, enough to hold the smallest of my 2D art projects last semester. Be aware that the sequential degeneration of the drawings is deliberate and, unfortunately, the Web is not a great medium for typographical art.
