Some might find Nudity offending.
And the US law defines - especially MALE nudity - as "sexually
explicit" material.
We can see full frontal nudity of females in movies and on prime time TV. But for some reason the male body seems not "suitable". We can see biologist studying sexual behavior of all mammals - except the human (!); they show mammals in intercourse and male mammals (!) with erections, -- without any rating.
Because of "normal" standards we dare not display the same of humans. Are men not part of biology?
I think that NUDITY is natural, - otherwise we'd be born
with a fur-coat - right?
Further, I think the male body - and the BLACK MALE body in particular -
is at least as beautiful as the female body.
Why do we make such differences between the female and the male body? A woman gets positive compliments like "sexy", "appealing", or "seductive" when she makes herself pretty with make-up, or when she makes her breast more revealing with a bra. And what tributes gets a male? - and a Black Male in particular - going down the street dressed e.g. in biker pants or a body-suit?
It seems strange to me that our "western", so-called sophisticated, and "tolerant" (?) society is allowing everybody, -even children- to watch, to play, and to make big business with brutality and violence; - aren't the most popular videogames and movies about somebody killing somebody else, - for whatever reason?
We are supposed to learn from history and science; and we are supposed to allow adult people to make their own choices. But it seems that we didn't learn our lessons from the sixties and seventies. And, we are still afraid to look at ourselves. It is still easier to blame somebody else for our own limits, mistakes, or to find excuses for not looking at our own image.
We sanction violence, brutality and political or religious dominance of one human over another. We sanction violence and brutality for our excitment and stimulation. But we still have a hard time allowing ourselves to find excitment, stimulation, or relaxation in the arts or the human body - including the male body . Scientists call the homo sapiens, sapiens the "crown of nature".
And, didn't we learn at least in the nineties - in the age of AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases, which are and were around for ever - that mutual sex is the only SAFE SEX?
