You need to complete a special team registration form listing
all your team members, and pay the team registration fee. Go to
the Teams page for instructions and
a team registration form.
We will post the overall and age-group winners on race night
on the large results boards on the steps of the county
courthouse (the "Old Grey Courthouse"). In addition,
we will have a large, lighted message board in the square that
will be used for announcements, including winners. We will post
complete results on this web site as quickly as possible.
Sorry, but there are no entry fee refunds. Just think of it
as a contribution going to a good cause -- the Rockville Rotary
Youth Recreation Fund.
Yes, but you must follow a special procedure -- and do so
before 4 p.m. on raceday. You need to provide a
signed statement that you wish to transfer your entry to the
recipient. He/she must come to Packet Pickup on Friday evening
or Saturday before 4 p.m. and go to the "Problems"
table. After signing a new waiver, the recipient will
receive a new number.
Can you volunteer? Do runners run in Rockville? Great!
Just go to the Volunteer page, and you can
sign up online, or print out the volunteer
form and mail it in.
Maybe. Extra T-Shirts, if there are any, will be put on
sale after the race. (Hint: We seldom have any left-overs.)
Yes, just not the refreshments reserved for registered
runners. There will be vendors selling a variety of refreshments
at the race festival site.
No - please don't even think about it! Not only are we
prohibited from allowing these in our race, all of these things
are a hazard (both to the runner and to other runners) in a race
-- especially one the size (and light conditions) of the
Twilighter. Please do not even bring these items to the race
site, since must prohibit them in the race.
Sure - if you can walk at a pace not slower than about 12
minutes per mile. Our course pick-up and clean-up crew will be
bringing up the rear, picking up equipment and opening the roads
back up for traffic. Anyone who cannot stay ahead of these
vehicles (again, about a 12 minute per mile pace) will be asked
to continue on the sidewalk and to observe normal pedestrian
rules.
