I guess many of you who used to do the holiday puzzle have gotten
tired of its high-tech trappings, and so this year we return to more
fundamental concepts. Here is a straightforward crossword puzzle—no
gimmicks, tricks, or hidden messages. If you think you discern a motif,
well, perhaps you are imagining it.
