Thank you for using our bees-by-mail service. It is our goal to provide those who need bees with a
convenient package which will arrive on a regular basis. In order for you to get the most out of your bees,
you need to take care of them once you receive them. If you follow the simple instructions below,
you should be able to keep your bees alive for up to two weeks.

Use The Bees Directly From The Box

1. Keep the bees away from heat. Do not place them on top of a TV, in direct sun, etc. Do not leave them in your mailbox, they could overheat or freeze.

2. To get the bees out of the box, remove the two staples that hold the screen in place. Slide the screen back just far enough to allow a bee to come out of the 1/4 inch
hole. Grab the bee with your tweezers. Close screen. If a bee or two escapes, they will usually go to a window where they can be caught. Secure the screen with a piece of tape or push pin.

3. The bees are shipped with a small amount of food, (the white stuff). Give them a thin line of honey on the screen every day.

4. The bottom of the box is cardboard. Do not get the box bottom wet or the bees will chew through it.

5. We recycle the plastic screens. Just mail them back to us with your check. We will clean them.

About Our Bees

1. We raise very gentle honeybees. They will not fly out of the box and attack you like a hornet or yellow jacket.

2. Bees are short lived. Bees only live about six weeks. The bees in the box are about 3 to 4 weeks old. Winter bees cluster (hibernate) and are older. They do not live as long once we wake them up.

3. Mailing bees for apitherapy is our main business. If you need bees shipped to another address while you are out of town, just give us a call.
