Salt

The salt used for the bread. You can't tell from this picture, but it has no iodine. You also can't tell from this picture I purchased it from a small neighborhood market. You can tell from this picture it wasn't very expensive, despite its perfectly circular container.

If you're making bread at home, get some salt without iodine.

I keep sugar for bread making in an airtight ceramic cylinder. I live close to the water, and the humidity will make a mess of sugar unless you're very careful.

Plus, with the lid open you can see two circles.

Nonstick spray

The nonstick spray I use for a few different purposes while making bread. RANDOM HELPFUL COOKING TIP: If  you're preparing a recipe requiring an accurate portion of honey, spritz the measuring spoon with nonstick spray.

In case the price sticker didn't clue you in, I bought the spray from the same store I bought the salt.

I was able to restrain myself  from including assorted bits of my kitten into the recipe.

She has big round eyes.

Dough and guitar

After kneading the dough for about 10 minutes, it gets shaped into a disc and lightly sprayed (see above) to rest for 20 minutes. This makes the dough easier to shape into its ultimately ringlike form.

I didn't use the soundhole from my guitar in the bread.
