When we moved out of Day Job 2, one of the people who did not move with us to Day Job 3 owed us hundreds of dollars. I got some of it by going by to pick up the mail and picking up his unemployment check which I then went with him to cash. After that, I didn't have to go pick up mail at the old house any more, it was delivered to my door by the Slack Vampire, who would pick it up early to make sure that didn't happen again. Was losing hope on ever getting the money when SV went for a hike in the woods by our house on a nice snowy day with some of our housemates. One of the housemates had a few hundred dollars in his pocket, which he dropped somewhere on the hike. A week later, SV had a dream in which he saw the money, went back to the woods and walked right to it. The man who had lost it was so grateful that he paid off the rest of SV's debt. And the moral is, if you are going to be lazy, at least be psychic too, your friends will thank you.
