(Date: Sat, 12 Dec 1998 05:00:31 -0500; From: Bob Bamford ; Message-Id: <3.0.1.32.19981212050031.007c7c70@citrus.infi.net>; Subject: [Board-Exec-L] Debbie's temp successor...) Kathy Heidel posts a message to the Board that after sleeping well the previous night, she is "bright-eyed and bushy-tailed today." She apologizes to Kay for being grumpy, and mentions that George [George Waller, former moderator of the -ALL list. Ed.] is a "wonderful person, but tells alot." She notes, "The email was private, but I knew by the tone of it, it was a small set up." She was hoping for a notice to be forwarded to the Board. She says she will send the question to the Board and explain that it was answered on the -ALL list before she was online this morning. She also says "The trivia stunt is working", and asks Jan Craven to make an announcement on the Board list about the new SW/SC Regional list. She advises, " I think we need to put the junk out on the Board and All. Then when we discuss things it won't be so obvious. What do all of you think?" Then she apologizes for being so "huffy" and says she "will try not to go there again." [presumably the -ALL list. Ed.] [Most of the USGW-ALL list traffic on December 11 and 12 concerned the leaked Board-Exec material, so I presume that is what Kathy is referring to above. I have no idea what the "trivia stunt" refers to. Ed.] (Date: Sat, 12 Dec 1998 08:40:47 -0600; From: Kathy Welch Heidel ; Message-ID: <3672806D.DF5919C2@tri.net>; Subject: [Board-Exec-L] Sorry for being Grumpy ;o{) Bridgett posts a message to Kathy apologizing if what she said to Kathy made her grumpy. She says, "I was/am a little at my wits end. My statement was just a generalized statement made to all but to no one in specific -- should not have taken my frustration out on anyone, and also apologize to the group." [Apparently this is referring to a conversation held someplace other than on Board-Exec. Ed.] Bridgett notes that George [Waller] so far as she knows is pretty close-mouthed and she rarely speaks with him or hears from him. (Date: Sat, 12 Dec 1998 07:20:05 -0800; From: "Bridgett Smith" ; Message-Id: <199812121526.HAA18828@jubjub.wizard.com>; Subject: Re: [Board-Exec-L] Sorry for being Grumpy ;o{) Kathy replies to Bridgett, "No one on the list made me grumpy I got there on my own." She notes that she gets along well with George [Waller], they have family in some of the same counties and might be related. She says, "Lets get on with it, I notice that Eric is up and at-em. so what is on the agenda for this beautiful day for us?" (Date: Sat, 12 Dec 1998 09:33:11 -0600; From: Kathy Welch Heidel ; Message-ID: <36728CB5.F2232FA5@tri.net>; Subject: [Board-Exec-L] George) Kathy posts another message saying that she has been thinking: "Teresa now has the All list, Betsy can you check with Yvonne and Megan and get their opinion of Phyllis Rippee." Kathy forwarded George's [Waller] resignation [as moderator of the -ALL list] to her and asked if she would consider moderating a list. She thinks this needs to be taken care of soon. She hopes they "all ducked Erics slime!!" (Date: Sat, 12 Dec 1998 09:52:16 -0700; From: Jan Craven ; Message-Id: <3.0.1.32.19981212095216.008542b0@mail.usunwired.net>; Subject: [Board-Exec-L] SW Regional list) Yvonne posts to say that although she has unsubscribed from the -ALL list that morning, Phyllis [Rippee] would have her support as list moderator. (Date: Sat, 12 Dec 1998 14:54:23 -0500; From: Yvonne James-Henderson ; Message-ID: <3672C9EF.D87165ED@idt.net>; Subject: Re: [Board-Exec-L] Replacement List) Holly Timm, CC Representative from the SouthEast/MidAtlantic region resigns from the Board, citing health reasons. She says, "In view of recent events, I would like to assure the remaining Board Members that I am deleting every board-related message and am not nor have not forwarded any to anyone." [She is referring here to the leaking of the formerly secret Board-L material. Ed.] (Date: Sat, 12 Dec 1998 11:23:05 -0500; From: Holly Timm ; Message-Id: <3.0.5.32.19981212112305.0404c5e0@mail.bright.net>; Subject: [Board-Exec-L] Resignation) Bridgett posts a message from an unhappy project member who wants to file a grievance against another project member. This person claims that they were removed from their Assistant State Coordinator position and replaced. The new ASC did not follow the bylaws for removing an ASC. The person who was removed submitted no resignation and was removed while they were absent and the SC had been properly informed of their absence. The new ASC was by the time the Board received this note acting SC for the state. The complainant had been reluctant to bring it to the Board's attention "because of the way the ALL list is with the board." The complainant feels that the SC possibly had the new ASC "do some dirty work for him", since they had told the SC they wanted to continue as the ASC, but the SC was apparently telling the rest of the CCs they were only temporary. The complainant states, "I have no letters from either of the two asking me to resign, if I wanted to resign, nothing..I was just unsubbed and dropped." He further states that he was very helpful to the CCs and the SCs and spent considerable time assisting the SC. The complainant asks, "How can I file a complaint without being the star of the next board show?" He would like his name kept anonymous. The bylaws were not followed in removing him and he is still properly the rightful ASC. Additionally, the person who improperly removed him as ASC was currently running for office in the USGW Project and "I really have a problem for someone running for [office] who can't even follow the bylaws put forth by the volunteers of the project." The complainant asks Bridgett to keep it informal for now, as he does not to be the center of some big dispute hashed out on the -ALL list. He admits, "I realize you are on good terms with Tim because I too have to admit I checked out the secret list that awful woman posted on the all list" and he doesn't to put Bridgett in the middle of anything, he just wants some advice. Bridgett then asks the Board if they have any thoughts on this matter. The excerpts concern the complainant's desire not to have their issues discussed publicly on the -ALL list. [Yes this is apparently his only thought on this issue. Ed.] (Date: Sat, 12 Dec 1998 15:23:03 -0500; From: Bob Bamford ; Message-Id: <3.0.1.32.19981212152303.007ad4e0@citrus.infi.net>; Subject: Re: [Board-Exec-L] ASC removal) ------------------------------ Radio Free USGENWEB, 1999, Teresa Lindquist, all rights reserved.
