Information Brokerage

FRI search services can be a useful, cost effective tool to check your assumptions, address the "never been done before" idea, find the "unlocatable statistic" or augment your own researchers.

Repeated tests have shown that professional searchers locate approximately the same percentage of total subject content but not the same content as individual area experts.  This means that as the global information explosion continues, if you want to have comprehensive information on a given subject you need both your own experts and professional search capability.  This is particularly true if time is short or the subject complex.

FRI clients have ranged from individuals, authors, lawyers, small business, fortune 50 business, as well as federal, state and local governments.  Our clients and the subjects we research for them are confidential. References are available.

FRI provides its search services in strict compliance with the Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP) code of ethics. In addition to FRI's own capability, FRI has the ability to communicate with, rapidly associate or subcontract with the over 800 AIIP firms in twenty one countries world wide.

FRI has access to thousands of on line sources of information and through AIIP's Vendor partners is capable of accessing many commercial on line data bases at favorable rates.   The rate of newly created internet sites outside of the USA recently exceeded the number of sites created in the USA.  FRI maintains an automated language translation and OCR capability in dozens of languages and access to on line capabilities in additional languages.

FRI maintains an industrial strength desktop publishing, scanning, OCR, image conversion and internet capability which support search efforts and permit FRI to provide data to you in a variety of formats one of which will be most convenient to your needs.
